Family workshop: The beat of your heart
About this Event
Your heart is working away every second of the day – but what is it actually doing in there?
In this 45-minute family workshop, children (and their grown-ups) can get hands-on with the science of the heart. Find out where your heart really is, how big it is, how it pumps blood around the body, and why it starts thumping away when we run, jump or get excited. There’ll be plenty of movement, questions and “hang on, is that my heartbeat?” moments.
This workshop will be delivered by Simply Science facilitator, mathematician and GAA county footballer Cliodhna Ní Shé. It’s the perfect blend of exploring science, sport, and the incredible machine inside all of us!
The Humanarium Café is also open on Saturdays serving hot/cold drinks and light bites.
Suitable for ages 7-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
