About this Event
Family Saturday
Turning Everyday Activities into Learning Opportunities
Learning doesn’t just happen in classrooms—it’s woven into the fabric of daily life. In this session, families will explore how ordinary routines like sorting laundry, checking the mail, or preparing a meal can become powerful moments for building literacy, math, problem-solving, and communication skills. Participants will learn practical ways to make the most of everyday interactions, turning them into engaging and meaningful learning adventures.

Philly Family Robot Build: Hands-On STEAM Fun for All Ages
Join us for a fun and engaging robotics workshop where families build and decorate real robots using motors, circuits, and creative materials! Telling Your Story: Power, Purpose & Community
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to tell their Story of Self, Us, and Now — a powerful framework developed by community organizer Marshall Ganz. Your story is one of the most powerful tools you have to move people, build relationships, and lead change.
Together, we’ll explore how to:
> Share personal experiences that shaped your values (Story of Self)
> Connect your values to your community’s shared struggles and hopes (Story of Us)
> Call others to join you in action on the issues that matter most (Story of Now)
