Family Range Day: Parent + Teen Rifle/Pistol Skills

Shooting skills grow best when families learn together. Bring your teen (ages 13–17) and join Rezilyent’s RJ “Kita” Compton and Brad “Spook” Compton for a special Family Range Day designed to build confidence, safety, and fundamentals for both parents and teens.

This one-hour live-fire session covers pistol and rifle basics, safe handling, and teamwork exercises that make shooting fun, educational, and family-centered. Parents and teens will learn side-by-side with patient coaching and practical drills.

You’ll learn:

• Safe handling skills every family should know
• Pistol & rifle fundamentals (stance, sight picture, trigger control)
• How to work as a team on the range
• Simple drills you can practice together at home or at the range

• Parents with teens ages 13–17
• Families new to firearms who want professional guidance
• Experienced shooters who want to share a safe, structured experience with their teen

• Ammo: Factory loads only. No reloads or handloads permitted.
• Range fee: $12 per shooter, paid to Teneroc on-site.
• First time at Teneroc? Arrive early to complete their safety briefing.
• Waivers & valid photo ID required for all participants (waivers available on-site).
• Teens must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

• Pistol and/or rifle in a safe case (unloaded)
• Factory ammo (recommend ~50 rds pistol, 50 rds rifle per shooter)
• Eye & hearing protection (custom plugs available through Rezilyent)
• Hat, sunscreen, water, closed-toe shoes

1. Attendance & Refund Policy – Non-refundable; transfers allowed with 48 hours’ notice.
2. Safety & Conduct Policy – Follow all range rules and instructor guidance. Teens must remain under direct parental supervision.
3. Class Preparation Policy – Bring required gear; arrive early if first time at Teneroc for safety briefing.
