For our next family day, learn how the brain changes when an animal becomes a mom from neuroscientists, zoo keepers, and educators!
About this Event

How do moms seem to know just what their babies need? Join Dr. Keerthi Krishnan, Associate Professor of Neuroscience at UT, and her lab to discover how animal brains change when they become mothers and what that tells us about human moms. Then meet curators from Zoo Knoxville who specialize in red pandas, turtles, great apes, and lions to explore the many ways animal parents care for their young.

Along the way, enjoy hands-on games and activities about animal behavior and the science of brains. All to celebrate the amazing moms of the animal kingdom - including our own!
