Bird Rave -
Bird Rave is a project by live artist Miss High Leg Kick about extraordinary birds and the choreography of nature. It is also a celebration of classic rave music and the 'freedom to dance' days of early UK rave culture.
Sara Heywood -
Layers of London
Sara will be offering a drop in workshop that focuses on layered collages inspired by images of the local area. Participants will be invited to create line drawings and coloured transparency collages that will then be projected onto the walls of the Chisenhale Gallery Studio and further traced to create one large 'collaborative' art installation.
Sara Heywood is a multidisciplinary visual artist and educator based in East London. Intrinsic to her practice is a collaborative dialogue between people, place and the point where natural and manmade environments and materials converge or impact one another.
Aycin Sahin -
Aycin is a Chisenhale Studio Artist working in ceramics and also provides clay play workshops to children.
Planting with Rita from Seeds for Growth -
Rita delivers a range of community workshops, including gardening and children’s activities that bring together craft and planting. Participants decorate pots and take home a plant of their own.
Established in 2006, Seeds for Growth (SFG) is a registered charity committed to improving the quality of life for individuals in disadvantaged communities, primarily in London’s East End. They address cultural, social, and health issues by creating inspiring pathways for progression through the use of arts, technology, and action learning.
Feild Notes Initive - 'Mirrors that eat us' Exhibition in Studio 4
Field Notes is a Chisenhale Studios initiative supporting early-stage curatorial practice, offering emerging curators the opportunity to develop artist-led exhibitions through studio engagement, collaboration, and diverse approaches to contemporary art-making. Culminating in an exhibition at Chisnehale Studios in Studio Four.
The exhibition 'Mirrors that eat us', curated by Connie Ashford and Katya Hudson, will be on view in Studio 4.
