About this Event
Our history is rooted in reciprocal care with nature and plant-centered ways of being. A s we prioritize our own well-being, let us also be in community with nature.
Join Black Women In Nature for our FIRST Family Nature Day! Bring your friends and family for a day of hiking, yoga, crafts, storytelling, and fun activities for all ages. Light food and drinks will be available but please also feel free to bring your own snacks, yoga mats, and blankets. This event is in collaboration with Plant The Power and Black Men Build. This gathering is free and open to the public!
What to Expect:
- Easy to moderate 2 mile hike
- Kid-friendly 1 mile paved hike
- Craft activites for kids
- Family friendly yoga
- Access to Blacklick Woods Canopy Walk and Nature Center
- Light refreshments

P lant The Power VegFest is a plant-based food and wellness festival taking place Sunday August 3rd at Franklin Park Conservatory from 11 am - 5 pm. PTP VegFest highlights local BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) owned vendors, workshops, and live entertainment with the intention to expose, educate and empower folks on the holistic benefits of plant-based living.
