Family History Day
As our final Civic Season event, ABHM will be celebrating Family History Day on July 2nd at the museum. To honor the traditions of family history and storytelling, we will be providing free admission and a guided tour from 12 to 1 PM focused on the African American family. Following this, ABHM will provide a workshop that teaches curation skills- such as how to collect oral histories or artifacts- and how to preserve family history. Participants will finally create a Museum of Me, exploring their families' histories and significance.
