Family Genogram & OT workshop
Details: 2 pm-4 pm; a 1.5-hour-long workshop with food and community building for the last 30 minutes.

The choices you make as a parent are influenced by how you were parented; that much we can assume. We are reacting positively or negatively to how our parents raised us, organized our lives, and attended to our emotional needs. What are the fine-grained details of your experience in the family system that raised you? What are the fine-grained details of your self-awareness and how you choose to parent in your current family system?
Over the course of this workshop, we'll explore these questions by looking at your Genogram, or the family map, through the lenses of occupational engagement, Sensory Integration, and the Functional Emotional Developmental Capacities of DIR/Floortime. You'll walk away with a strengths-based understanding of where you are and how you want to move forward.
[ OF NOTE: This workshop is for educational purposes ONLY. If there is significant family trauma that you are dealing with, this workshop might bring up some of that held trauma. This workshop will be a safe space to explore some of the challenges you experienced, but will not be focused on one-to-one therapy or the deeper dive of group therapy.
