About this Event
Gardening. Health and Wellness. Arts. Hiking. Family Activities. Nature Lovers. AND MORE!
Let your mind grow at the Gardens! We offer over 200 courses and workshops for families, kids and adults in the areas of gardening, nature, botanical arts and wellness.
Learn more about courses and programs at the gardens at rbg.ca/publicprograms.
Friday February 17; 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Nature Centre.
Join us on an evening hike deep into the forests of RBG to explore the night-time ecology of the Arboretum. Listen for the hoots of owls! Learn about and watch for night-time animals! Your walk features interpretive stops highlighting significant local features, animal tracking and exploring different forest types. If the evening is clear, discover some late winter celestial sights. Bring your head lamp or flashlight.
Please note, although we aren’t guaranteed to hear or see owls on our hike, we will learn lots about them!
Meet at the Nature Interpretive Centre.

Resuming Programming Safely
As we welcome our community and visitors back to experience the beauty of Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG), we are making every effort to help ensure your visit is enjoyable, entertaining and, above all, safe.
Effective May 5, visitors are no longer required to wear masks at Royal Botanical Gardens. Employees and volunteers will continue to wear masks.
Please note, masks are strongly encouraged for all programs that involve children over the age of 2 years, youth, or vulnerable populations for the duration of the program, both indoors, and outdoors when you cannot physically distance. Masks are required for all RBG staff and volunteers.
All visitors are required to self-screen prior to arriving at RBG and are not permitted to visit if they are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
For everyone’s safety, we ask that all visitors are attentive to directional and physical distancing signage while making their way through the Gardens, wash your hands frequently, and stay home if you are ill.
