Family Fun Day @ Manchester Museum
About this Event
Join us and the Manchester Parent Champions at Manchester Museum for a family fun day exclusively for families of deaf, disabled and neurodivergent children and young people living in the city of Manchester!
We will have various animal-themed craft activities and clay modelling, as well as a fact-finding treasure hunt (with prizes to be given away)! We will also bring snacks and refreshments for everyone to share.
Booking is required but families can drop in anytime between 1 to 4pm. We will be at the Top Floor so please come and meet us when you arrive but families will be welcome to pop out to explore the museum's galleries and exhibitions any time.
Siblings without Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) are also welcome to join.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- You will remain responsible for your family's safety and well-being during the event. Please ensure that your children are supervised by a responsible adult at all times during the day.
- Manchester Museum has a quiet room on Floor 1, next to the Egypt and Sudan gallery. It is a quieter space for anyone who needs time away from the galleries for rest, reflection or other reasons. Ear defenders are available in the room and at the reception desk. The museum has a hearing loop fitted at the reception desk. Please visit https://www.museum.manchester.ac.uk/accessibility for more information about accessibility in the museum, including an Easy Read guide.
