Family Fun Day: Amazing animals

There thought to be almost 9 million different species of animals on the plant, and we only know of 2 million of them! Discover the world of amazing animals with us this Family Fun Day.

Join our volunteers, scientists and researchers from across the STEM subjects as they dive into the rest of the animal kingdom and explore their unique behaviours, how they adapt to their environment and some ‘super powers’ that us humans don’t have.

From hardy necks and bouncy steps to tiny critters, get hands on with a whole host of exciting activities, experiments and demonstrations exploring every corner of the world of science. Who knows what you might uncover.

Please note that this Family Fun Day is happening on a Sunday. Our usual Saturday dates will resume next year.

Family Fun Days are designed for children aged 6–12, but older and younger siblings also very welcome. All 12 year olds and under must be accompanied by an adult and those aged 4 and above need a ticket to attend.
