Eastern Iowa Art Academy and Iowa Ceramics Center & Glass Studio are offering 3 special Art Buddy collaborative workshops—the perfect opportunity for busy caregivers to spend quality creative time with their kids! Sign up for 1 workshop, or do all 3!
In these hands-on workshops, each adult-child pair will work together to design and build a shared ceramic project–you’ll combine your ideas into one unique artwork!
Once your piece is constructed, you and your child will paint (glaze) it together during the same session, adding color, texture, and personality. ICCGS will then take your finished work back to their studio for a single professional firing, resulting in a glossy,
vibrant keepsake you can treasure for years to come. Projects will be available for pick up from ICCGS 4 weeks after the workshop. ICCGS is conveniently located across from the NewBo Market.
July 20, 4-6pm: Learn the pinch technique by creating an Animal Pinch Pot! $40
July 21, 4-6pm: Learn the coil technique when you make a Sssssnake Bowl! $40
July 22, 4-6pm: Work together on the slab technique when you sculpt a Gnome Home! $40
