We will meet at Heckrodt Wetland Preserve (1305 Plank Rd, Menasha, WI 54952) at 09:00 in the parking lot. We will travel in a circuit around the Reserve looking for winter birds. We will take our time looking at every bird and talking about their unique features. Activities for kids to accompany the birding will be available. There are also indoor kid-friendly exhibits with live animals and an outdoor nature-themed playground, making this a great place to go birding as a family!
Field trips will be led by local birder and UWGB graduate student Edwin Wilke. If you have any questions about a field trip, the birds you might see, or accessibility, please email Edwin at [email protected]. RSVPs are appreciated as well!
