We're thrilled to partner with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Purgatoire Watershed Partnership for a FREE Family Fishing Clinic & Lake Party at Trinidad Lake State Park!
Whether you've never held a fishing pole or you're looking to sharpen your skills, this event has something for everyone. Families will rotate through fun, hands-on learning stations where you'll discover:
🎣 How to cast and "set the hook"
🪢 Basic fishing knots
🐟 Fish biology and proper fish handling
♻️ Catch-and-release techniques
🎯 Backyard Bass casting games
After learning the basics, head to the lake to try your new skills! We'll wrap up the day with a FREE lunch (provided through the Purgatoire Watershed Partnership) and plenty of time to cool off, play by the water, and enjoy a summer day outdoors. ☀️💦
