Family Fall Fest Fundraiser at Susanna Farms

Spend a Saturday on the farm.
This is our first Family Fall Fest, and everything raised on the day goes to keeping the animals fed and the barn doors open through an Illinois winter. Come for an hour or stay for all six.
What's happening
With the animals Feed the chickens, turkeys, goats and sheep. Brush and lead a horse, donkey or pony in the animal barn. These are working farm animals and they are very used to visitors.
In the arena Group meditations with the horses at 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00. Riding demonstrations at 2:00 and 4:00.
Around the farm Hayrides. S'mores at the fire pit. Add your own touch to our community mural. Sidewalk chalk by the pond.
In the Big Barn Make a flower crown out of baling twine or a greeting card at the craft tables. Visit the apothecary space and the meditation area. There is a play corner for younger children.
And Chicken Poop Bingo Which is exactly what it sounds like, and is worth staying for.
The silent auction
Local businesses and neighbours have been extraordinarily generous this year. Bidding includes a round of golf for two at Kohler, Wisconsin, valued at approximately $1,000, a $500 Kohler gift card good at the Kohler Waters Spa at Lincoln Park in Chicago, and a four-day Chicago museum pass for four people covering sixteen institutions including the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium and the Art Institute.
Also up for bid: a guitar donated through Cream City Music, Cooper's Hawk wine tastings, White Sox and Chicago Wolves tickets, passes to The Morton Arboretum, original paintings of our horses, and gift cards and baskets from Lou Malnati's, Valley Ridge Bar & Grill, Rivalry Ale House, Antioch Pizza, Horn Trevor Feed, Thrive Pet Supplies, Twelve Paws, The Barker Shoppe and Something Sweet Candy Shoppe & Confectionary.
Where your ticket goes
Susanna Farms Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Proceeds from the day support two things:
The Animal Care Fund — hay, feed and farrier care through the winter, vaccines and dental work for the horses, PEMF therapy for our older horses with arthritis, and a new play area for the goats.
The Scholarship Fund — barn time for kids whose families could not otherwise swing it.

Before you come
We are a working farm, so wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dusty. Parking is on site in the field by the entrance; if you need parking assistance, there is a number posted at the gate.
We will have some snack concessions avaialable, you are welcome to bring outside food as well.
