Family Exploration Day is a family-friendly event at El Pomar's Penrose Heritage Museum where rare and one-of-a-kind historic race cars and carriages will be on display. Participants can even sit in one of these historic carriages!
Spencer Penrose’s 106-year-old race car, the Broadmoor Special, nicknamed the Yellow Devil will fire up twice during the event, a rare occurrence for the public. Join us at 11am and 1pm to hear the Yellow Devil’s engine roar!
Participate in fun activities to win kid-friendly prizes and the chance to win admission, passes, or memberships to some of the region’s iconic attractions, including the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo.
