FAMILY EVENT: Take a Child Outside Week 2024 - Shells and Shark Teeth Art

Registration Note: This is a youth and family event. Registration ONLY THROUGH 4-H ONLINE. Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

This Take A Child Outside (TACO) Weekend, join UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County educators and Sarasota County Beaches staff for an afternoon of hunting for shark teeth and sea shells along Caspersen Beach, learning about the animals that create and inhabit shells and leave behind fossilized shark teeth, and making jewelry with the treasures we find.

Each child will be provided with enough materials to make one piece of jewelry.

(4100 Harbor Drive, Venice, FL- drive all the way down dirt path to where bathroom building is located).
