FAMILY EVENT: Take A Child Outside Week 2024 - Bats and Birds Activities!

Join UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County educators and Sarasota County park naturalists for an evening of bird watching, bat and bird activities, and watching the bats emerge from their houses! Meet us under the pavilion for youth-friendly activities, and then we will walk over together to watch the bats emerge from their houses at sunset.

Families of all ages welcome; fun activities for kids.

*****Trail Accessibility Information:

Trail surface/conditions: Visitors cross Annex Road to a cement sidewalk. The distance from the parking lot to the pavilion is less than 100 feet. The path from the pavilion and along the front/east of the lake is crushed shell and approx. 350 feet total. The distance from the end of the shell pathway to the bench near the bat houses is 50 feet and is frequently mowed grass.

Accessibility options available: One ADA parking space, and one ADA portalet.
