🥁✨ Family Drumming Workshop with Guy Higgins ✨🥁
Join Guy for a welcoming family workshop designed to soothe the nervous system, focus on the mind and bring people together through rhythm. No experience is needed, and complete beginners are warmly welcomed (even those convinced they have no rhythm!).
Using simple frame drums and beaters, we’ll explore beautiful rhythms inspired by traditions from Senegal and Ghana, alongside guided drumming, musical meditation and moments of creativity. All drums are provided and chosen for their gentle yet powerful sound.
Drumming together is about more than making music, it can encourage connection, support wellbeing, improve focus and create space for expression, creativity and fun.
Suitable for children aged 7+ with one adult per child staying to support and join in.
Guy is the founder of Hands On Percussion and a qualified Sound Therapy Practitioner with over 20 years of experience supporting children, families and communities through rhythm and sound. Drawing on both ancient practices and modern research, his sessions create an inclusive and accessible space to connect and explore.
This is not a performance-based workshop, just an opportunity to experience the joy of rhythm together as a family.
Please note: this workshop may not be suitable for those with pacemakers, artificial heart valves, stents or sound-induced epilepsy. Please seek advice from your healthcare professional if needed.
Saturday 19 September | 2:00–3:00pm | £15 per child | £15 per adult

If you are booking more than one child or adult you can call 01743 649749 or email [email protected] to confirm your booking.
