About this Event
Reem's is deeply honored to host Palestinian poet, author, and educator Mosab Abu Toha during his Bay Area tour. The event will feature a 4-course family-style Palestinian dinner, after which Mosab Abu Toha will share poignant readings from his new release Forest of Noise. The reading will be followed by a book signing.
Dinner will be served family-style and will feature a selection of mezze (dips, house pickles, falafel, and fresh-baked bread), fattoush salad, signature mana'eesh, and dessert.
Mosab Abu Toha is a Palestinian poet, short-story writer, and essayist from Gaza. His first collection of poetry, Things You May Find Hidden in My Ear, was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry and won the Palestine Book Award, the American Book Award, and the Walcott Poetry Prize. Abu Toha is also the founder of the Edward Said Library in Gaza, which he hopes to rebuild. He recently won an Overseas Press Club Award for his “Letter from Gaza” columns for The New Yorker.
