Activities are scheduled to take place from 11 am – 6 pm.KIDOKA OKO DOKA (11am)
Kidoka Oko Doka, which means “Resilience, Be Resilient” in Lingala, is a series of African traditional dances with live drumming and percussion, expressing the spirit of resilience in adversity. Incorporating community based outfits, face painting of jungle animals and vibrant connection through African ancestral rhythms from Kongo Kingdom and culture, the result is an incredible interactive show.
CWU BAND (12pm)
Ireland’s last remaining trade union Brass and Reed Band, the Communications Workers Union Band, was founded by postal workers before 1916, losing its instruments in the Easter Rising. For over a century, it has been central to trade union marches and commemorations, evolving with the labour movement.
O GRANDE PEQUENO CIRCO (12pm to 1pm)
O Grande Pequeno Circo (The Great Little Circus) is a Lambe-Lambe theatre piece telling the story of a debut artist through a small puppet performance. Lambe-Lambe theatre is a miniature format staged inside a small box, presenting short stories to very small audiences and creating an intimate connection between artist and spectator.
RICHARD KANE (12pm to 4pm)
Richard has been performing as a clown since 2010. He is influenced by the silent comedians of early cinema and the anarchic style of 1980s alternative comedy. Richard also has a strong passion for the Irish language and performs as Gaeilge along with English.
CLOWN WALKABOUT (1pm to 3.30pm)
Clown Walk About Angelica Clown engages the audience through spontaneous interaction, juggling and object balance. She is a clown, director and early years practitioner, blends theatre, circus and clowning to explore humanity’s absurdity, purpose, fears and desires
CUSTARD PIE THEATRE (2.15pm to 3.15pm)
A unique Dublin twist on Punch and Judy, this family-friendly show follows a mischievous Mr. Punch whose failed attempts at chores lead to hilarious run-ins with the Gardaí. A fun-filled, must-see performance for all ages!
THE YOUKAI (3.30 pm to 4.30 pm)
Lost between her deepest desires and the need to return to her origins, the Youkai, a Snow Woman as a force of nature personified, wanders in search of human contact, seeking a ‘North’ or an anchor in this state of existence and presence.
