The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts invites families to attend Family Day on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Education Studio, located in the breezeway at 1 Love Street in downtown San Angelo.
This month's Family Day theme is Curious Collectors! Families will explore collections, treasures, curiosities, and the stories objects tell. Spend the day engaging in some creativity and summer fun with hands-on art activities designed for all ages. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Concho Clay Studio throughout the event for free drop-in clay activities. No registration is required.
In addition to art activities, guests can browse a free children's book giveaway in SAMFA's Grand Hall. The books are generously provided by the San Angelo Adult Literacy Council and anonymous donors.
This summer, families can also enjoy a visit from the Mad Mouse Zoodio! The Mad Mouse Zoodio is collaborating with SAMFA this summer to help provide the ultimate educational experience for young learners and artists.
Family Day is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. Activities are subject to change, and additional surprise activities may be offered throughout the day.
The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The museum is supported by generous contributions from both individuals and businesses. This project is made possible in part by the Sterling-Turner Foundation, the Mary Ellen Kent Bunyard Foundation, HEB, and Texas Commission on the Arts.
