Family Creative Workshop – Exploring 2D Art

Get creative together in this relaxed, family-friendly workshop where curiosity and experimentation take centre stage.

Through a playful mix of collage, paint, texture, and mark-making, participants will be gently guided to explore intuitive ways of creating layered 2D artwork. There are no rules to follow or perfect outcomes to achieve—just an opportunity to experiment, discover new techniques, and enjoy the creative process together.

Whether you're trying something new or already love making art, this workshop is designed to encourage imagination, confidence, and creative exploration.

What to expect:

● Explore layering with collage and mixed media

● Experiment with paint, texture, colour, and pattern

● Follow gentle creative prompts while making your own unique artwork

● A relaxed, welcoming environment for all experience levels

Please note:

● All workshop materials will be provided, so you just need to bring your imagination!

● Expect to get messy—wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on.

● Each session lasts 1 hour 15 minutes.

● There are two time slots available.

● Maximum 16 participants per session, including accompanying adults.

● Suitable for all ages, though likely to be most enjoyed for ages 8+

● Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and accompanying adults count towards the session capacity.

● Tickets to the workshop are £2 per person. Additional donations or donated materials are appreciated but not necessary.
