About this Event
As part of our current exhibition 'A Common Thread', join us for an afternoon of free family craft workshops. All workshops will operate on a drop-in basis and will happen in conjunction.
Card Stitching with Cecily Allwright
In this workshop, you will design, stitch or weave your own colourful pattern using thread and a special cardboard frame. You can plan your design first, then use a needle and yarn to sew and weave through the frames in any way you like. Some frames already have set patterns punched into the cardboard to help you get started, while others are blank so you can create your own design from scratch. There is no right or wrong way, just explore, experiment, and see what you can create.
Gift Making with Hannah Eagles
In this workshop, you will make a special collage to gift someone you care about. Think about a person who is important to you. How do they make you feel? What colours, pictures, or textures remind you of them? You can cut out images and materials and glue them onto a card to create your artwork.
Screening: The Man Who Mends Things by Ann Farley
Join a screening of Ann Farley's short, animated film 'The Man Who Mends Things'.
These workshops are free, drop-in sessions.
