What if the pain you’re carrying, isn’t yours?
You likely have at least one pesky pattern or painful inner conflict that keeps showing up in your life and no clue where it comes from.
It weaves into the energy and “fabric” of family conversations and creates entanglements.
Family pain, drama, and unconscious limits to success, often stem from unresolved and unspoken traumas, tragedies, and transgressions.
These entanglements and trapped energy often (unconsciously) limit the flow of LOVE, HEALTH, HAPPINESS & PROSPERITY.
How Systemic Constellation Workshops Help?
These unconscious family patterns can be efficiently resolved by participating in systemic family constellation workshops.
The Systemic Family Constellations approach offers a potent and unique way of releasing entanglements and facilitating your own evolution.
Through body awareness, gentle movements and healing conversations stimulate psychological updating by releasing old family stories in favor of new empowering possibilities that rewire the brain.
Other workshop participants stand in as family members to evoke a “knowing field” or “family mind” to clarify where your previously unconscious patterns come from and how they can be resolved.
Everyone in the room is shown a way forward.
This way of working helps release the family ties that bind you, so that you can finally break free of the past and unleash your full potential.
Join me to discover and evoke this freedom for yourself.🕊️

Family constellations or systemic work is based on the work of Bert Helllinger and has become a therapeutic modality in its own right.
It works from the premiss that we as individuals are influenced by family patterns and trauma which are carried through the generations. Family constellations look at these patterns in a very visual way and works to undo entanglement that may be manifested through, amongst others, habits, emotions and attitudes by the individual.
It is done in a group setting, where one individual explains his/her question about their own life. The other participants are asked to represent a member of the family and the client. The constellation is then enacted while the facilitator is working on disentangling the client. The client witnesses the evolvement and resolution of the constellation without having to enter into it, unless the facilitator deems it more healthful.
Constellation/systemic work can also be don on other aspects of life, such as work situations, friend/work/romantic relationships, illness, addiction and many more.
The facilitator will discuss with the client to clarify the question/aspect that needs to be worked on before the constellation is set up.
What happens during the workshop?
After the facilitator and the client has discussed what to work on, the client will choose participants to represent their family members. The client will place them in the space according to how s/he feels they appear.
The facilitator will guide the representatives through the constellation.
Participant: you will be open to represent one of the client’s family members. You will be guided as to what to do and there is no preparation needed.
Client: you will share some personal information with the group that is applicable to the constellation work, including some information about your family (parents, grandparents). If you don’t have access to family history, don’t worry – the constellation will tell us what we can work on.
Useful information includes big events in the family (both matriarchal and patriarchal) such as
• Sudden/early death/suicide
• Miscarriages/abortions
• Illness, both physical and mental
• Divorce/affairs/children born out of wedlock/half siblings
• Poverty/scandal/prostitution
• War/famine/natural disasters
• Or anything else that has had a big impact on the family
Why do Family Constellation?
“The more compassion we have for our parents, the more we can separate their (bad) behaviour from our worth.”
I said this while talking to someone recently about how we can create a better relationship with our parents even though we might carry hurt and resentment towards them.
Not feeling seen, heard, appreciated, taken care of, loved, valued or any other painful parent-child dynamics may bring out many painful emotions. Growing up, or as adults getting in touch with these experiences and emotions, we may have created barriers between ourselves and our parents as a way of self-protection. Sometimes these barriers need to remain to protect us from further pain and sometimes we are willing and wanting for those to barriers to fall.
Family Constellations is an opportunity to follow trauma through the generations and witness how our relatives’ experiences have influenced the family dynamics.
It gives a very tangible & visual opportunity to see, understand & empathise with what our parents went through in their lives and how this may have affected how they engaged with us. It allows us to recognise that very often our parents did the best they could, using the tools they had available to them.
When we get to witness the pain our parents carry, when we can understand the repetitive patterns from the extended family or recognise how loyalty and love have influenced our family interactions, we can release OURSELVES from feelings of inadequacy, anger, fear, grief, not being enough, feeling like an outsider or imposter, and embrace our worthiness of love and belonging. We can find our place in our family system and rest knowing that, regardless of what happened in our childhood, “I am lovable”.
What will you gain as a participant?
While it may be obvious what you can gain as a client, there are many benefits in being a participant.
In most constellation, we find similarities with our own upbringing and experiences and being a participant in someone else’s constellation gives an opportunity to;
• Find out new things about ourselves
• Get an understanding of the pain some of those who hurt us are carrying
• Receive vicarious healing from someone else’s constellation resolution
• Experience, accept and receive love, appreciation, validation and recognition from a parental/authority figure
• Enjoy and cherish the special bond created during the constellation in the group
• Witness dynamics similar to our own story while maintaining emotional distance as it is not personal
• Embrace the moment and feel compassion for our parents
• Letting go of emotions without sharing anything personal about yourself
• Experiencing something completely new (unless you have been participating in family constellations before)
• Get insights into the complicated world of (any) family dynamics
I have never been a representative before, how does it work?
Anyone can be a representative. There is nothing to prepare, nothing to know beforehand. As a representative you will “play the role” of the client’s mother/father/sister/brother/someone else in the family. As a facilitator I will guide you every step of the way.
There is nothing you can say that is wrong! Whatever you express as a representative is correct, whether it’s how you are feeling, what you say or even if you don’t want to say anything or don’t feel anything. When you step into the constellation, it (the constellation) will put you in the frame of mind of the person you are representing.
We are often chosen because we have something in common with the person we represent. Sometimes it may not be clear while you are in the constellation; “am I saying/feeling this because of the person I’m representing or because I’m me?” The answer is “Both!” You were chosen for this particular representation because you are you.
Being a representative also sometimes gives us an opportunity to find healing for ourselves.
