Family Constellation - through the lens of distance
About this Event
This constellation event focuses on family dynamics through the lens of distance (geographical, emotional, generational, and relational).
Participants will have the opportunity to explore how distance has shaped their sense of belonging, safety, responsibility, and identity within the family system.
We will examine:
- Patterns of separation or closeness across generations
- The impact of migration, estrangement, or physical relocation
- Emotional distance created by trauma, roles, or unspoken expectations
- The ways individuals carry inherited distance in their bodies and behaviour
Through representative work, participants can gain insight into the movements that want to happen in the system, whether that is approaching, stepping back, or simply witnessing with compassion.
This session offers a supportive environment for understanding and integrating the distances that have influenced your family story.
Family constellation work is most effective when there is enough time, space, and emotional capacity to support each person fully. If the group is larger than expected, it may not be possible for every participant to have their own constellation during the session.
If you don’t receive your own constellation this time, you will still be actively involved in the field through representation, witnessing, and group movements. Being a representative is not a “secondary role”, it is one of the most powerful ways to experience constellation work. Constellation work operates on a systemic level; simply being in the field, witnessing movements, and participating as a representative often creates shifts in your own system. Many participants leave with insights, emotional clarity, and a sense of resolution even without having their own constellation.
