Take some ‘time out’ to decompress with us in Albany. This workshop begins with plants exploring in the Reserve with local plant expert. And you would process using plants and botanicals to create unique prints in the workshop. An experienced arts practitioner will help them turn these plants into botanical art prints.

Monotype printing is using plant materials as the medium to expand engagement with creative processes and ecological awareness in a tactile exploration of plants and paint. This approach helps you explore more about the local community, get you to learn about NZ native plants.

This workshop will take you inside nature, get to know and learn about Native New Zealand plants, and show how to use simple single printing techniques to create natural prints. Using the vein shape of the plant itself to reproduce on the paper, so that the unique plant in your hand can be permanently preserved in another form.
