START: Families Serving, Thriving, and Reading Together
Join Blue Star Families for a 4-week family reading and storytelling series designed for children ages 3–9 and their caregivers.
Reading together is about more than just the words on the page. Through stories, families can explore important themes, ask questions, build critical thinking skills, and create meaningful connections. Each week, we will read two books and participate in guided discussions and activities centered on topics such as individuality, friendship, trust, and community.
Thanks to the generous support of Piedmont Natural Gas, participating families will receive books to take home, enjoy snacks during each session, and engage in a fun and interactive learning experience together.

This program is designed as a four-week series, and families are expected to attend all sessions. During the final 2 sessions, families will have the opportunity to create and record their own storytelling experience.
