Families and Politics, a Braver Angels Conversation
About this Event
Families and Politics, a Braver Angels Conversation
Our country is more divided than ever, with too many of us isolated from those who hold different views. This division damages our communities, disrupts our families, and stops us from working together for the common good. For people of faith, civil discourse often begins in recognizing the image of God and/or the inherent dignity in our conversation partner. As a result, our approach should involve mutual respect. Respect, not agreement, is an essential key for a healthy discussion.
We will be hosting three workshops on Thursday evenings in September and October.
Session 1: Skills for Disagreeing Better, September 3 from 6-7:30pm
Session 2: Depolarizing Within, September 17 from 6-8:30pm
Session 3: Families and Politics, October 1 from 6-8:30pm
Each session is a stand alone teaching. You can attend one or two or the whole series.
