About this Event
Take part in this interactive workshop where Ms. Cydny A. Neville will share her experiences through Fulbright-Hays GPA experiences in East Africa (through Virginia Tech), and South Africa (through University of Pennsylvania) and analyzes the “Familiar Struggles” experienced by Blacks in America, Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania. This presentation will allow participants to examine primary resources from her lens and relevant supportive resources to position them to develop lesson plans for K-16 and/or engage in informative discussions about “Familiar Struggles” at the community level.
In addition, this workshop will inform participants about studying abroad through a Black lens and develop a practical understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
