FAM: Find Autistic Magic

We * excitedly * invite our adult FAM to Find Autistic Magic, a Saturday night to explore authentic connections like friendship, dating, and casual hangouts!

When autistic people gather, a certain magic appears. Like everyone, autistic people want to meet each other to talk, create, and share experiences. FAM is AutismTN’s in person event for just that! All Autistic people and natural supports are welcome.

We plan to have these activities at the event:

• Books about autism and neurodivergence
• Coloring pages
• Conversation cards
• Giant Tetris!
• Make your own sensory aid care kit
• Photobooth
• Puzzles and Games
• and more!

Going to this event means you consent to event photography, and you may be in event pictures. If you don’t want your picture taken, please tell event staff and volunteers.

FAM volunteers will be outside to help with parking at Dozen Bakery’s 2 free parking lots.

• AutismTN is happy to give each community member 1 drink ticket. After you use your drink ticket, you’ll pay for any other drinks you want to enjoy during the event.
• Dozen Bakery is catering this event with chicken salad half sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly half sandwiches, and mixed cookies.
• There are no gluten-free options for this event.
• You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks, and a water bottle.
• If there’s extra food at the end, we’ll have to-go containers for community members.

• The event will be full of friends…which means the space may get noisy. Bring your headphones, ear defenders, and favorite stims if they help you.
• The event space has fluorescent and natural lighting. Bring your sunglasses if they help you.
• June in Nashville can get hot. There will be fans on the patio. During the event, community members can be inside or outside.
• The AutismTN Mobile Sensory Refuge will be outside on the patio for breaks and resting.
