THE GREEN DOOR
Formed in San Francisco in 2008, The Green Door is comprised of Mike Carnahan on lead vocals and guitar, Reese Abell on guitar, Vanessa Wolter on percussion, and Devin Triplett on bass. The Green Door started as a project between Wolter and Carnahan, both students in film and art. They began writing and recording a series of songs blending the raw, desert sounds reminiscent of Spaghetti Westerns with the uncompromising rhythms of 1960s garage and acid rock. Carnahan and Wolter were soon joined by others in filling out their sound, and the band recorded its first full-length album in 2011.
With the release of their 2017 album, Wolf in the Fold, and 2025 album, Dead Stock, the sound of The Green Door continues to evolve. However, the approach remains the same. The name “The Green Door” stands as an image which beckons the observer to question what’s behind and, ultimately, beyond. The music, with its wild and evocative themes of the mythic West juxtaposed with formidable riffs and stampeding rhythms, is an experience that calls the listener to strike out to the badlands, set up camp, and rock out with the ghosts that linger there in the reverb of a bygone age.
THE SPIRAL ELECTRIC
The Spiral Electric are a well-established light in San Francisco's rock firmament, bringing a powerful and exciting combination of dark, melodic psychedelia and visceral passion to the stage and studio. Celebrated by reknowned stoner-rock blog The Obelisk as "a band ready, willing, and able to space the hell out", who "bridge the generally disparate realms of heavy psych and riffer heavy rock", they alchemize soaring, memorable vocal melodies, wailing reverb-drenched garage twang, blistering stoner fuzz, dreamy keyboard textures, thundering bass grooves, and foot-stomping/air-punching rhythms into a fresh and original sound.
PETS
Fuzzy psychpunk duo, formed in Sacramento, CA has been making reverby noise since the summer of 2003. They've shared the stage with such notable, national acts as Pete International Airport, The Warlocks, Sun Atoms, The Gossip, Matt & Kim, Dead Meadow, Spindrift, and New Candys.
On their fourth album, 2025’s Dig The Skull, the band’s signature fuzzed out bass and reverb drenched guitar are as noisy as ever and together with the hypnotic driving repetition of the looping drum machine, echoing rhythms of tambourines & shakers and Derek & Allison’s lushly layered vocals they create a unique psyched out soundscape with their DIY punkgaze ethos on full display.
