The monthly book club for the Falmouth Senior Center is facilitated by Falmouth Public Library librarians!Join us on Tuesday, January 13th at 1pm at the Senior Center (780 Main Street) as we discuss this month's selection In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick! Copies of the book can be picked up at the book club meetings at the Senior Center or at the Falmouth Public Library's adult service desk.
"The incredible true story of the epic adventure and harrowing disaster that inspired Moby Dick - In 1820, the whaleship "Essex "was rammed and sunk by an angry sperm whale, leaving the desperate crew to drift for more than ninety days in three tiny boats.
