Fallowfield Rain Gardens: a year on

A year ago we dug three rain gardens along an ordinary grass verge and cut the kerb to let the water in. We wanted to know if we could reduce the amount of water at the junction, and clear the water quicker, while also benefitting local nature in Fallowfield. Could this also support local biodiversity, with healthier trees, flowers and soils? Could we support pollinators, and provide food for birds and other local wildlife?

We are also excited to have completed another phase of the project that includes the installation of four rain garden planters at an apartment building 110-113 Fallowfield.
