Falling So Hard Single Launch Shows
For as long as I can remember, there has been a strong sense of justice within me but it has always hidden behind a great need for self-protection. I know this is a response to the trauma of being an abuse surviver and the white hot sensorium of being autistic. The that sense of justice manifested in quieter ways, a song lyric here, a semi-statement there and mostly supporting other people who fearlessly wanted to make a difference to the world. This is why I want to have different shows in unusual places, not as a marketing stunt but as a way of showing support to not only those that want to make a difference, but also those folks like myself that just don't survive in the classic, boozy loud music venues. Saint Ergo's music has loads of groove and danceable moments but there are also quiet folky moments that need a delicate ear, the attention of a sharp mind. I want those that can't usually participate in shows come and enjoy themselves and take away a greater sense of community than what is offered by a traditional venue. Each space has been chosen for the following reasons.
Accessibility for both mobility aid users and sensory challenges with easy, wide access, separate sensory supportive spaces and moderate sound levels.

Black Spark
In Northern Naarm, there is a little independent, volunteer run space in Northcote that is a bookshop, art gallery, music and community workshop venue, dedicated to creativity, learning and liberation. It's like walking into a tiny desk concert, with a candlelit cavern of books, red velvet couches and an old piano warmly resting. I attended a folk fundraiser there and from that I was inspired to host my single launch. I was their I reconnected with part of my musical family, Pia and Emi Nesvara, two beautiful folks that I have had the privilege of witnessing how they have grown and it was like being drawn to the petrichor of new rain; soaking in the divine sounds that these sisters showered on me.
So refreshing.

This event is taking place on the stolen lands of the Wurrundjeri People of The Kulin Nation, sovereignty was never ceded. I pay my respects to elders past & present.
