Falling in Love with a Regenerative Future

Let’s bathe in the realm of possibilities.

You are invited as a co-creator of our common future. This afternoon, we are travelling to the future. As inspired by Rob Hopkins' philosophy of “Falling in Love with the Future”, we are doing just that. Let go of current world systems and limiting beliefs, and experience where an expansive mindset can take us.

There are an infinite number of possible futures ahead of us. The key to why we follow one over the other lies in the present moment. Allowing ourselves to imagine the beauty of the future can inspire new thinking for anyone experiencing anxiety or dread about the future. As inspired by the wonderful Rob Hopkins, we’d like to ask you: what would the world look like if we all got to work imagining, and then building, a world we are deeply in love with?

7 Billion Presidents is a movement born out of the trust that an inclusive and just world is possible and that we can build it together. It is a movement building an alternative to the current system, we transition society, from the current one where we compete to make money for billionaires, to one where we collaborate in building a better life for all of us. By moving from competition to collaboration and from extraction to regeneration, we build a better life for all of us.

Let's envision together what a regenerative world will look like. We bring this reality to life by creating an artefact, a collaborative painting to illuminate our path.

Madeleine Mandersloot is facilitating this session. She met Rob Hopkins when he hosted a workshop at Schumacher College, where she was inspired by his ‘time travelling’ practice. She is now here with us to share the magic she experienced by guiding us through this process. After this process of expansion, we will make the first steps to birth this future in our presence by collaboratively painting our visions.

It will be an afternoon to dive into the realm of possibilities. Connect with this community, and build the new together! You are welcome to arrive at 12:00 to settle in, and we will start at 12:15. There will be some snacks during the event and a nourishing plant-based soup with bread afterwards, where we can relax and digest the afternoon together.
