Already mastered the basics? Take your sourdough skills to the next level in this advanced, hands-on class! Together we’ll focus on refining techniques and adding festive creativity to your bakes — including shaping your dough into a beautiful pumpkin loaf with a cinnamon pumpkin swirl.Completion of our Traditional Sourdough Workshop is HIGHLY recommended before attending.
During this workshop you’ll learn how to:
Shape and design your sourdough into a festive pumpkin loaf, flavored with a cinnamon pumpkin swirl
Score intricate details for advanced designs (we’ll even practice first with play dough)
Work with whole wheat and other flours to create unique textures and flavors
Build high-hydration loaves with open, airy crumbs
Adjust starter ratios for stronger or more precise results
Use a thermometer to fine-tune fermentation and baking times
Understand the science and artistry behind advanced sourdough baking
What to Bring:
Large mixing bowl
Danish whisk
Towel to cover your loaf on the ride home
