Join us for a chance to revel in a West Michigan Fall day. We are meeting at my favorite cemetery on the NW side of Grand Rapids. It sits on Leonard hill and overlooks the city of Grand Rapids. It has a charming caretakers office that I love to sketch. There are some lovely gravestones, with some that date back to before GR was a city (1850). We will meet at the caretaker’s office then spread out to sketch our favorite view and meet up back there for 12:00 throw down. (You can sketch in your car if the weather is too cold or rainy).
At 12:15, we’ll drive a few miles northwest to Ed Dunneback and Girls Farm Market on 6-Mile. It is practically a straight shot there. We can eat lunch and sketch at the barn/market. They have the traditional fall treats with a full menu (see photos) Some vegetarian options you can order without cheese. (I think you could discreetly bring your own lunch if you choose). There will be plenty to sketch. Throw down will be at 3:30.
If you can’t make both, feel free to pop into whichever one location you can, and sketch with us!
Dress accordingly for the weather. You might want to bring your own stool or chair to get the view you want.
