Fall Photo Walk

Free Community Event!!

Our first official photo walk will be the Fall Photo Walk, October 2nd, 2021 @ 5pm at Rotary Park in Bullhead City. We will meet at the skate park for a quick introduction and then move north towards the dog park. We will slowly stroll and look for subject matter along the way. I will be happy to answer any photography related or technical questions as best as I can.

The goal of this photo walk is to offer a creative outlet within our community and to bring photographers of all ages & levels together, while highlighting the beauty surrounding us right here along the Colorado River.

There will be a Photo Contest, with prizes, for anyone interested. Please read details below.

Please read these Rules before submitting your image. All images must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the image contains, and the image must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

1. Only one entry per participant.
2. Please provide a unique title and brief description of the image submitted
3. Please submit the original image. Do not submit screenshots.
4. Image submitted must have been created during the Fall Photo Walk at the location designated.
5. Images submitted must be free from identifying logos or watermarks.
6. The photo must be in its original state with minimal editing/retouching. For example, adjusting cropping, sharpening, shadows, highlights, saturation and color temp are allowed. Advanced editing used to create manipulations, and the adding or removing of significant elements within the image is prohibited. Violators will be removed from the contest, stripped of any prize(s).
7. Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest email. Entries not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted.
8. By entering the contest, the entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by Bullhead City and Bullhead City Parks and Recreation for advertising purposes and publication. Entrants will be given proper photo credit when possible.
9. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
10. Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including nudity, violence and/or an environmental violation deemed to be contrary to the law, are strictly prohibited and will be disqualified.

Firafly Photography will appoint a three judge panel for the contest. The judging panel will assess and determine the Top three (3) images.

The results will be announced on Firafly Photography’s Facebook page and the Bullhead City Parks and Recreation Facebook page. The photo contest is not affiliated with Facebook in any way.

Images will be judged on Composition, Impact and Creativity.

The prize(s) must be collected by the winner and is non-transferable.

The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry. If no response is received after three business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.

• Make sure to include your name and contact information within the email but not on the image itself.
• Please include a unique title and description of the image.
• Deadline for photo contest entries is October 3rd at 11:59pm

By registering for the Fall Photo Walk or entering the photo contest, under no circumstances will Firafly Photography or Bullhead City Parks and Recreation Department be held liable for any:

• This is a Free Community Event and is participate at your own risk.
• Injuries incurred on Bullhead City property during the photo walk.
• Errors or technical malfunction of any entrant equipment.
• Lost, late, mislabeled, illegible, or incomplete entries.
• Contraction of Covid-19 or a variant of Covid-19. Entrants assume all risks associated with potential COVID-19 transmission or exposure in relation to the photo walk and contest and accept sole responsibility for an illness, injury, damages, claims or expense arising therefrom regardless of the identity of the person alleged to be at fault for such transmission or exposure.
