Fall of Freedom Gowanus Brooklyn "SideWalk"

Join this "collage of community" collaboratively-created stroll over and around the infamous Gowanus Canal. It is neither traditional walking tour nor Christian pilgrimage, yet it is inspired by both. Instead of "Stations of the Cross", stops along this scenic Brooklyn route will link specific stories of freedoms under attack with local sites. Music and local flavors will keep the event lively... as will the 15th and final "station", Resurrection!
Possible sites and stories are currently being collected under the direction of longtime artist and tour guide, Rich Garr. Submit them ( [email protected] / @gothamsidewalks ) by November 15th for consideration. All ideas welcome!

The walk is done in partnership with many, but St. Lydia's (the walk starting location) will be helping Rich by co-hosting info gathering tour planning workshops. All are welcome to discuss or submit ideas in person at two of their events: the Block Party on Saturday 11/1 (12-4pm), or during their next Creative Bond "Work in Progress" meetup on Sunday 11/9 (2-3pm).
