Fall Mason Bee Care

In this hands-on workshop students will learn how to harvest, inspect, and clean mason bee cocoons. We will look for and learn about pests and diseases that commonly attack mason bees, and explore tips for prevention. Students who have mason bee housing of their own at home, are welcome to bring their own nesting devices and we will show you how to open and clean your own cocoons if you'd like. Students who do not already have mason bees, will get to practice with ours. At the end of the workshop, every student will take home about 20 cocoons of their own. This workshop is always a participant favorite!!
