In this 3 day banjo workshop we will cover: • Creating your own solos and breaks based on the melody (instead of just playing licks over the chords)
• Jam Session Survival (Helpful ways to fake it when playing songs you don’t know)
• Back-up and Fills: Everything from basic vamping to rolling backup to fancy backup licks
• Technique, Technique, Technique! (How to sound better playing what you already know)
• Playing in keys other than G (cool stuff for playing in C, D, E, F, and even Bb! without a capo!)
Your workshop fee includes full admission to the Fall Jam which includes workshops, main stage performances, Jams, Draw Bands, Ukulele, Old-Time and Bluegrass music.
