Fall into Action: October Mulch Spreading with Flowers & Bullets!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Kids + Family Volunteers will work together to spread mulch over newly planted trees within the campus.

We will also tour the facility, meet friendly farm animals like chickens + goats, and learn about the great work Flowers & Bullets is doing in the community. This should be a fun, hands-on experience for all ages!

WHY IS THIS WORK IMPORTANT:

This hands-on volunteer work will directly support the efforts of Flowers & Bullets.

Flowers & Bullets is a community-based organization that focuses on sustainable agriculture, education + cultural preservation in midtown Tucson.

By helping to spread mulch + care for the newly planted trees, volunteers are contributing to the revitalization of the land, fostering food security + supporting the Flowers & Bullets mission to empower local neighborhoods. Our volunteer efforts will help provide a green space for th neighborhood.

KIND NOTES:

This in an in-person, outdoor event.

• All supplies will be provided.
• Please wear hats, sunscreen, closed-toe shoes + bring plenty of water.
• A takeaway snack will be provided for the Kid Volunteers at the completion of the project.
• Stay tuned for additional details to help you prepare for the day!

WHY YOU'LL BE ASKED TO PAY A FAMILY REGISTRATION FEE:

Our small family registration fee enables Tucson Family Volunteers, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to offset volunteer costs for this event. We do the planning, coordinating + buying of supplies (and snacks!) for all volunteer projects so that your family can just sign up, volunteer + have fun!

If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more give-back kindness projects for our kids, families + non-profit partners.
