This introductory camp offers a unique opportunity for young learners to experience the maker movement firsthand, sparking their curiosity through a wide range of hands-on activities and projects designed to introduce them to the tools, techniques, and principles of making. From learning the basics of 3D printing, exploring electronics and coding, to discovering hand fabrication processes, such as woodworking and sewing, campers will gain foundational knowledge across multiple disciplines, fostering both creativity and technical skill sets.
Guided by experienced Master Makers, participants will receive personalized support as they explore various equipment and processes, gaining confidence as makers in our fully equipped Makerspace. Whether they’re working individually or collaborating with peers, students will not only build tangible projects but also develop teamwork, critical thinking, and design skills that can be applied in real-world scenarios.
This camp is the perfect starting point for any student interested in discovering what it means to be a maker and gaining practical experience in designing, building, and creating. Whether your child is a curious beginner or a budding inventor, ‘Maker 101’ offers an engaging and educational journey into the world of making.
