Fall Immigrant Entrepreneurs Mix'N Mingle MeetUp

Connect with immigrant entrepreneurs in a casual and welcoming environment! Networking that feels like home.
About this Event

Join us for the Fall edition of Immigrant Entrepreneurs Mix’n Mingle, a relaxed, no-pressure evening designed to bring together immigrant founders, small business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs for connection, inspiration, and community.

Whether you’ve just arrived or have been here for years, whether you’re exploring a business idea or are already running one, this space is for you.

✨ Meet our guest speaker: Omar Gaber, founder of ChewyPuff Cookie

Omar arrived in Canada alone at 18 as a refugee from Yemen, with no plan and no connections. He started with a humble toaster oven, and today ChewyPuff Cookie is a much-loved Ottawa food brand with a lot of heart. Along the way, he sold at farmers’ markets, ran a pop-up in the ByWard Market through our Retail Incubator, and won the City of Ottawa’s Youth Immigrant Entrepreneur Award. Omar is one of our own, and we can’t wait for you to hear his story.

✨ What to expect:

• An inspiring talk from Omar Gaber on his journey from immigrant to entrepreneur
• Meaningful conversations with fellow immigrant entrepreneurs who share your path
• A chance to grow your network, exchange business cards, and share stories
• Light refreshments to keep you fueled while you mingle

Whether you’re just starting out or scaling your venture, you’ll leave with new connections and maybe even a fresh perspective.

This event is free. Accessible venue with free parking next to the building, close to Bayview Station.
