Fall Fusion Fest 2024

Fusion Fest is a new annual seminar that brings together practitioners of adjacent arts to explore the similarities, differences and beauty of their shared lineages and heritages. While it may be true that all paths up the mountain lead to the same peak, it is often refreshing to take a scenic detour along the way. Fusion Fest is that scenic detour, and our carefully designed sessions combine theory and practice to help practitioners understand the foundations of their sister disciplines. In the process, you will gain insights into your own practice.

Fusion Focus sessions will lead with a primary instructor from one art showing a core technique and its essential elements in their own art. A selected expert from the other two arts will each present a prepared response, highlighting the similarities and differences. Sessions are practical, with strict time limits on demonstration / lecture and an emphasis on practice.

Essence of the Art sessions will offer an opportunity for teachers to demonstrate what is special about their particular art.

Open mat time, sparring sessions, and seminars on training and conditioning methods will round out the festival something for everyone.All sessions will be open to all students, regardless of rank, style, or experience.
Heavy snacks and drinks will be provided, but lunch will be optional but on your own.
Dinner will be provided at the dojo at 630 PM on 10/12/24 (BYOB). There will be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options available.
