About this Event
Flamenco Pittsburgh, in collaboration with Acoustic Music Works, proudly presents Fall Flamenco Concert, an early evening performance chock-full of flamenco song (cante) and guitar (toque).
The concert will feature New York-based singer Bárbara Martínez, flamenco singer, dancer, and member of the noted flamenco fusion duo ALBA MUSIK, alongside distinguished Los Angeles-based guitarist Alex Jordan. Jordan, born in Havana, Cuba studied flamenco guitar in Spain with renowned musicians Juan Maya (Marote), Rafael Riqueni, and José Luis de la Paz. He has performed with, and participated in, various flamenco productions across Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States.
Together, Martínez and Jordan will perform an array of traditional flamenco music showcasing the art form’s various styles and expressive range.
