The public and veteran organizations are invited to bring American flags needing retired to our event and help us properly retire the flags on Saturday morning, 12 October 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the VFW Post 857 parking lot located at 2202 West Main Street in Fort Wayne. The entrance drive is on Leesburg Road. We need help unfolding the flags and presenting them to the burner. Unable to attend and have American flags to retire? You can drop them off at the VFW Post 857 Monday to Friday 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the bartender. We will start at 9am and conclude once all flags are properly retired or no later than noon.
