Please RSVP here if you plan to attend: https://airtable.com/appEqZXlops1HV1wP/shrJ1FdFfhFcEDlX3Educators are invited to join our Fall Educator Workshop to learn about OHS’s many educational resources for K–12 educators. After a presentation by OHS Education Manager Katie Pearson, educators will be invited to tour our permanent and rotating exhibitions, including our newest permanent installation River, Roses, and Rip City: The Remarkable History of Portland. Lunch, light snacks, and coffee will be provided as well as an opportunity to collaborate and lesson plan with colleagues.
OHS provides a broad range of resources and programs for K–12 educators, including exhibition tours, standards-aligned Oregon history curriculum and lesson plans, traveling trunks that include hands-on objects and accompanying lesson plans, digital resources, and the Oregon History Day program and contest. All of OHS’s materials are aligned with 2024 Oregon Social Science Standards and are designed to be ready-to-use and easily adaptable for your classroom.
This workshop is free to educators of all grade levels, and four PDUs are available for educators who attend. Please RSVP by September 30 if you plan to attend.
