Win cash prizes & ribbons by entering exhibits into the 2022 Columbia County Fair! Prizes will be awarded for each exhibit category and grade group and entries will be displayed throughout the length of the fair! Deadline to enter is October 21 by 5 pm!1st Place - $20 ■ 2nd Place - $15 ■ 3rd Place - $10 ■ Overall Category Winner - $30
EXHIBIT GRADE GROUPS: Cloverbuds: K-3rd ■ Cloverleaf: 4th - 5th Juniors: 6th - 8th ■ Seniors: 9th - 12th
EXHIBIT CATEGORIES & RULES
1. Project Poster: Cloverbuds, Cloverleaf, Jr. & Sr. Must be 11” x 14” (2/3 of Standard Poster Board). The poster can be on any topic & must be informative.
2. Recycled Project: Cloverbuds, Cloverleaf, Jr. & Sr. Items must be created from recycled materials & have a use. Ex. A pencil holder made from plastic. Do not create “artwork” with recycled materials.
3. Photography: Cloverbuds, Cloverleaf, Jr., Sr. Photos must be 5x7 or larger & framed.
4. Drawing/Painting: Cloverbuds, Cloverleaf, Jr. & Sr. All drawings & paintings must be mounted or framed. Any medium can be used such as chalk, graphite, watercolor, marker, colored pencil, etc.
FAIR EXHIBIT INFORMATION
- All entries must be made by the child! Parents and siblings may help, but a majority of the work must be done by the student. Entries that appear not to have been created by the student will not be judged.
- Check out the chart below with all of the exhibit category options for each grade group. If a section is blocked in red, that means that category is not open to that age group.
- Decide which exhibit categories your child would like to enter in. Students are welcome to enter ONE exhibit in each of the categories for their grade group. Individuals may not enter multiple exhibits into the same category and grade group. Students are allowed to enter multiple exhibits into the fair as long as each exhibit falls into a separate category.
- Tip - Be creative and unique with your exhibits. Select something you’ve made this past year or create something new!
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
- Please fill out all of the required registration information in your CHILD'S name. Each child registering is one "ticket". If you are registering more than one child at a time, please select the same number of "tickets' as you have exhibitors.
- All entries must be registered through Eventbrite by Friday, October 21 by 5 pm.
EXHIBIT DROP-OFF & PICK-UP INFORMATION
- Students must drop off their exhibits at the Columbia County Extension / 4-H office located in Appling ( 6420 Pollards Ponds Road, Appling, GA 30802) Mon-Fri, October 24-28 between 9:00 - 4:00 p.m. No entries will be accepted after 4:00 pm on October 28th.
- All fair exhibits must be picked- up at the fairgrounds on Tuesday, November 15th between 3:30 - 7 pm. Any projects left will be taken to the office and kept for two weeks. Exhibits not picked up within two weeks will be discarded.
